About Heart Heroes Support Foundation

In Nigeria, 3 in 1000 children is born with a heart defect, yet 95% of families cannot afford the ₦7M–₦30Million ($17k+ ) needed for surgery. Many parents watch helplessly as their children struggle to breathe, grow, play, or even survive—not because the condition is untreatable, but because they lack the funds.

At Heart Heroes Support Foundation (inspired by a personal experience), wants to provide access to free child heart surgeries for these Nigerian Children. We believe every child deserves a fighting chance.

We are a Nonprofit for children’s health registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria ( RC8549241 ), dedicated to medical charity in Nigeria, helping parents raise funds for critical heart surgeries needed by children between the ages of 2 and 14. Through crowdfunding campaigns, private/corporate sponsorships, partnerships with hospitals, and community advocacy, we are working to ensure that no child is denied treatment due to financial constraints or a lack of local infrastructure and governmental will to address this life-threatening condition.

Every year, thousands of Nigerian children are diagnosed with congenital or acquired heart diseases, yet many parents cannot afford the high cost of surgery.

Sadly very many of these wonderful children never get celebrate their first birthday or live to see a 3rd or fifth.

Our Mission

Our mission at Heart Heroes Support Foundation is to ensure every Nigerian child, aged 2 to 14 years, affected by congenital and acquired heart diseases, receives “free” life-saving heart surgery.

Founded on principles of compassion, integrity, and excellence, we are dedicated to raising essential funds for these critical and often expensive heart surgeries.

We advocate for enhanced cardiac awareness and treatment across Nigeria, ensuring no child is denied the chance to live due to financial limitations, and no parent endures the heartbreak of preventable suffering and loss.

We’re committed to “Stitching Hearts and saving kiddie lives,” bringing back joy to families nationwide with a free heart surgery from donations accepted from kind hearted people from around the world.

Our Vision

Our vision is a Nigeria where every child, aged 2 to 14 years, suffering from congenital or acquired heart disease has immediate access to free life-saving cardiac surgery and comprehensive care, regardless of their family’s financial situation.

We envision a future where advanced pediatric cardiac treatment is readily available across Nigeria, and where widespread awareness empowers communities to prioritize children’s heart health.

Heart Heroes Support Foundation strives for a Nigeria where every child’s heart can beat strong and healthy, filling homes with hope and joy, ensuring no family experiences the devastating loss of a child due to lack of affordable treatment.

Our Story

When our 2-year-old son started walking around on his own to play, it should have been a joyous occasion. Instead, it began our nightmare.
His tiny body struggled with every breath—blueish lips, crushing fatigue, and the heart-shattering whispers: “heahh heahh heahhh, mummyyyy… heahh heahh.”

A pediatrician’s ECG confirmed our fears: Congenital Heart Disease.

Then came the second blow—the surgery cost was astronomical. We struggled, worried, and started looking for help and support from friends, family, strangers, and even some NGO’s. No luck.

Alone and desperate, we fought to save our child for over 2 years, and the time went by with the daily terror of not knowing what could trigger a crisis. While surrounded by other parents at the University teaching hospital pediatric clinic, some of whose children’s conditions were even worse. Most had zero hope of ever affording care or the surgery to fix their little angels.

In that darkness, Heart Heroes Support Foundation was born—a sacred vow:
“No child should suffer for lack of funds for surgeries, physiotherapy, and medications.
No parent should feel this helplessness again.”

Today, we fight quietly for every gasping breath, every fading heartbeat, because every child deserves a chance to run, squeal with joy, laugh, and live without pain.

How we Help

Our primary impact

Crowdfunding for:

Founder’s Note

“As a Parent who once faced the terror of losing my son to a heart condition ( TOF ), I know the pain of helplessness. Heart Heroes Support Foundation was born from a simple belief: “No parent should watch their child suffer from heart disease when a solution exists. Together, we can save these little hearts—one surgery at a time.”
